Thank you for visiting my website! I am a director, producer, actor, and teaching artist. I am currently based in Iowa City, working towards an MFA in Theatre Direction at The University of Iowa. I called Chicago home before beginning graduate study. As a director and actor, I have a joyfully twisted sensibility; I love dark plays and light rehearsal rooms. As a producer and teacher, I aim to help other theatre artists tell the truth, and nothing but the truth.
My favorite directing credits include Vanya on the Plains, and How I Learned to Drive (Jeff nomination for the best performer) at The Artistic Home, The Aliens at The National Autonomous University of Mexico, and W;t at Bellingham TheatreWorks. Most recently I had the pleasure of directing the Chicago Premiere of The Dark by John Patrick Shanley with Pale Horse Playhouse, and assistant directing Laughing Song: A Walking Dream with Theatre Y.
I’m currently an ensemble member and teach in The Meisner Studio The Artistic Home Ensemble located in the Avondale neighborhood of Chicago, IL where I also served as Associate Artistic Director from 2017 - 2021. While AAD I produced and co-produced numerous Jeff Award-nominated and winning productions, including Requiem for a Heavyweight which won awards for the best leading performer, direction, and production. In 2018 I’m very proud to have produced a queer reimagining of The Maids by Jean Genet, in partnership with Chicago drag queens, and in 2021 I spearheaded Summer on the Patio, a community outreach program geared towards creating free and accessible theatre.
I hold a B.A. in Theatre with concentrations in Acting and Education from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington and I have trained extensively in Meisner, Grotowski, Suzuki, and the Viewpoints.
